Asia Cup 2022 India Squad and Players List – Official News

Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel set to miss due to injuries as we look at the official Asia Cup 2022 India squad list.

BCCI on Monday announced the official Team India’s official 15-member squad along with 3 reserves for Asia Cup 2022. The overall squad seems to be on the expected lines, but the squad will miss two key players, Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah.

It was certain that Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel would have made it to the final 15. But with Jasprit Bumrah suffering from Back Injury and Harshal Patel suffering from a Rib injury, their recovery was uncertain.

Apart from these two important notes, Rohit Sharma will be leading the side while KL Rahul shall be his deputy. In KL Rahul’s absence, Hardik Pandya had taken the VC role. But now that KL Rahul is back, Team India realise KL Rahul to be their leader in Rohit’s absence.

So, here’s the official Asia Cup 2022 India squad list.

The loss of Harshal Patel and Jasprit Bumrah due to injuries is a big blow to the Indian team. It would be interesting to see how India copes with this. In their absence, India would be hoping for Bhuvneshwar Kumar to lead the pace duties well.
