Twitter reactions project happiness after a dominant chase in the 2nd ODI as Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer lead from the front to help India level the ODI series vs SA.
After losing the 1st ODI in a close finish, the young guns of Team India have made a fantastic comeback in the 2nd ODI. The ODI series is now levelled at 1-1, and the final ODI played at Delhi promises to be a tremendous finale to the series.
The 2nd ODI saw South Africa win the toss. Surprisingly, they chose to bat first even as dew would be a significant factor. They were going decent at 215/3 at the end of the 38th over before India pulled things back. The last 12 overs saw India giving only 63 runs to restrict South Africa to just 278 in 50 overs. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers with a spell of 3/38.
Chasing 279, India lost the openers early with score reading 48/2. Then came the strong partnership between Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer to guide India to a dominant chase. Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 113 off 111 balls. Whereas Ishan Kishan scored an aggressive 83 off 84 balls. In the end, India chased the target in just 45.5 overs.
