The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League, the IPL 2023 is currently in the mid-stage with all teams having played at least 5 matches each. Except for CSK, who have been pretty good this year, we have the same set of teams in the top 4 who had qualified for Playoffs last year.
Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table with four wins from six games. Lucknow Super Giants follow them with the same four wins, albeit an inferior NRR of +0.709. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans are third and fourth on the points table with three wins each from five games.
However, things have not been so rosy for the teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. The strongest team on paper, RCB have only won three out of their six games. Whereas Delhi Capitals have only won one out of their six games. Meanwhile, KKR and SRH are with 4 points. Whereas MI and PBKS are with six points each.

So, that’s about the best stats list and points table for IPL 2023. It seems to be going pretty competitive with almost nine teams doing pretty well. Only Delhi Capitals have had a lagging start to IPL 2023 with 0 wins under their belt from five games. However, we have seen MI not just making a comeback but also winning the title from this position in 2013, so why not DC?
