Team India Create Unique Record in 1st T20I vs West Indies
Rohit Sharma led Team India created record as they managed their biggest victory in terms of runs in the 1st T20I vs West Indies.
Things seem to be getting streamlined with Rohit Sharma at the help. After winning the T20I series vs England in England, Rohit Sharma led Team India created another unique record in the 1st T20I.
The 1st T20I vs West Indies saw Team India win the match by a whopping 68 runs. This is the biggest victory in terms of runs for Team India in T20Is in West Indies, and 2nd best overall at any location. The previous record in West Indies was 16 runs at Port of Spain 2011. Whereas, overall it is 71 runs without location constraints.
In the 1st T20I, batting first, India scored a superb 190/6 in 20 overs courtesy of Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik’s knocks. In reply, West Indies were just bundled out for 122/8 in 20 overs.

Team India’s next match will be played at Basseterre. After a dominating win in the 1st T20Is, Team India would like to continue the winning momentum. The bowlers were smart with their line and length in the first T20I. They would like to continue doing the same. Hopefully, India sticks to the same playing 11. If any, they might bring in an extra pacer for the spinner based on the conditions. Thus, Avesh Khan might get a go.
