IPL 2023: Complete Official Full List of Pacers for All 10 Teams

Kagiso Rabada, the best pacer as we look at the updated list of pacers for all 10 teams ahead of IPL 2023. 

The IPL 2023 is going to witness a plethora of pacers spread across 10 teams. With the current Indian pitches favouring pace as well as spin, every team has invested a lot in pacers. This can also be seen from the fact that we have roughly 81 pacers in the tournament including 33 overseas pacers. 

Having said that, we are also witness to losing some really good pacers in the form of Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, who are ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Even then, we have a huge availability of pacers in the tournament. So, let’s revisit the official pacers list for all 10 teams for IPL 2023.

IPL 2023 Complete List of Pacers

The Chennai Super Kings have a total of 10 pacers in their squad. Of the 10, CSK have all-rounders Ben Stokes, Dwaine Pretorius, Shivam Dube, and Rajvardhan Hangargekar and young Indian pacers in the form of Akash Singh, Tushar Deshpande, and Simarjeet Singh. They also have two good overseas pacers in the form of Sisanda Magala and Matheesha Pathirana. 

Chennai Super Kings Pacers List for IPL 2023:

Akash Singh, Deepak Chahar, Ben Stokes, Dwaine Pretorius, Sisanda Magala, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Tushar Deshpande & Simarjeet Singh

Delhi Capitals have invested a lot in pacers as they have as many as 12 pacers in their squad. Of the 12 pacers, Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Marsh, and Rovman Powell are overseas pacers. Whereas all the other Indian pacers are talented young Indian pacers. 

Delhi Capitals Pacers List for IPL 2023:

Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed, Lungi Ngidi, Chetan Sakariya, Ishant, Sharma, Mitchell Marsh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Mukesh Kumar, Rovman Powell, Ripal Patel & Aman Khan

Gujarat Titans have a total of 11 pacers in their squad including 3 overseas pacers. While the overseas trio of Alzarri Joseph, Joshua Little, and Odean Smith remain as the experienced overseas pacers, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, and Pradeep Sangwan are experienced Indian pacers. 

Gujarat Titans Pacers List for IPL 2023:

Dasun Shanaka, Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Mavi, Joshua Little, Yash Dayal, Odean Smith, Mohit Sharma, Darshan Nalkande, Pradeep Sangwan & Vijay Shankar

KKR have a total of 9 pacers in their squad including 4overseas pacers. The good thing about KKR’s pacers is that except for Venkatesh Iyer, Vaibhav Arora and Kulwant Kejroliya, all the other pacers are experienced, and their playing 11 will be filled will quality experienced pacers.  

Kolkata Knight Riders Pacers for IPL 2023:

Andre Russell, Lockie Ferguson, Shardul Thakur, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, David Wiese, Vaibhav Arora, Kulwant Khejroliya & Venkatesh Iyer

The Lucknow Super Giants have a total of 11 pacers in their squad including 5 overseas pacers. While it’s a good number to have, only Mark Wood, Marcus Stoinis Dan Sams and Jaydev Unadkar are among the experienced pacers. Whereas all the other pacers are more of talented young pacers. 

Lucknow Super Giants Pacers for IPL 2023:

Mark Wood, Avesh Khan, Daniel Sams, Mohsin Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Naveen Ul-Haq, Jaydev Unadkat, Kyle Mayers, Mayank Yadav, Yash Thakur & Yudhvir Charak

Mumbai Indians lost their best pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Jhye Richardson ahead of IPL 2023. Without these two and no replacement being named yet, MI have only 7 pacers in their squad including 4 overseas pacers. The team will be heavily dependent on Jofra Archer and overseas pacers as the Indian pacers are young and inexperienced. 

Mumbai Indians Pacers for IPL 2023:

Jofra Archer, Jason Behrendorff, Cameron Green, Duan Jansen, Arjun Tendulkar, Arshad Khan, Ramandeep Singh, Riley Meredith & Sandeep Warrier

Punjab Kings have only 8 pacers in their squad, but 4 of these 8 pacers are strong enough to get into any playing 11. While the playing 11 issue seems sorted, the only issue having such fewer pacers in their squad if any injury arises, they don’t have good backups. 

Punjab Kings Pacers for IPL 2023: 

Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar, Sam Curran, Nathan Ellis, Rishi Dhawan,  Baltej Dhanda & Vidwath Kaverappa

Having lost Prasidh Krishna ahead of IPL 2023, Rajasthan Royals have only 7 pacers in their squad; the 2nd-least number of pacers among all 10 teams. However, similar to Punjab Kings, they have a good combination of pacers for playing 11. But may struggle if any more injuries occur. 

Rajasthan Royals Pacers for IPL 2023:

Trent Boult, Obed McCoy, Jason Holder, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Sen, KM Asif, Kuldip Yadav & Sandeep Sharma

RCB have a total of 10 pacers in their squad including 3 overseas pacers. They have solid 5-6 pacers in their squad; thus forming for good primary and backup pacers. In addition, RCB can fall back to young and talented Indian pacers in case of any injury. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore Pacers for IPL 2023: 

Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, David Willey, Siddharth Kaul, Akash Deep, Avinash Singh, Rajan Kumar, Sonu Yadav, Vyshak Vijaykumar & Wayne Parnell

Finally, talking about Sunrisers Hyderabad, they have only 6 pacers in their squad; the least among all 10 teams. SRH, who generally invests a lot in pacers surprised everyone with their strategy by having only six in the squad. However, all six have at least some experience under the belt. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad Pacers for IPL 2023:

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T, Natarajan, Umran Malik, Marco Jansen & Fazalhaq Farooqi & Kartik Tyagi
