Shubman Gill Beats Sachin Tendulkar in this Amazing Record

India’s youngest heartthrob, Shubman Gill has managed to beat his childhood hero, Sachin Tendulkar in this unique record.

Shubman Gill seems to be on a roll ever since his comeback to the Indian team in ODIs. After scoring 49 runs in his first 3 ODIs, Gill has scored 64, 43, 98*, 82*, 33, and 130 on his return to ODI cricket in 2022. These are stunning returns, and a sign of a man in tremendous form.

The third ODI vs Zimbabwe saw Shubman Gill score an outstanding 130 off 97 balls. This is now the highest individual score by an Indian batter in ODIs in Zimbabwe. The previous record was held by Shubman Gill’s childhood hero, Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin is second on the list with his unbeaten knock of 127 off 130 balls, which he scored in 1998 at Bulawayo. Ambati Rayudu is third on the list with a score of 124*(133), which he scored in 2015 at Harare.

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill seems to have batted on a different pitch in the third ODI. vs Zimbabwe, All the other batters combined scored 149 off 203 balls, which amounts to a strike rate of 73.3. Whereas Gill scored 130 runs at a strike rate of 134.0.

So, that’s the record where Shubman Gill has leapfrogged Sachin Tendulkar to become the highest individual score by an Indian batter in ODIs in Zimbabwe.

Shubman Gill’s Next International Assignment:

Shubman Gill will now next be seen in the South Africa ODIs. However, he might still be preferred in the T20I squad for Australia, but it is yet to be seen. He is already ready to take the world by storm with his amazing temperament. Hopefully, we see a lot of Shubman Gill going forward including the upcoming World Cup 2023.
