Team India Register their Biggest Victory vs West Indies in T20Is

Spinners take all 10 wickets as Team India register their biggest victory in terms of runs vs West Indies in T20Is.

Doesn’t matter which players play for India, the kind of quality at display seems to be unmatchable. Even with so many senior players like Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar being rested, India continued to rattle the West Indies in the 5th T20I.

The 5th T20I between India and West Indies saw Team India winning the match by an astonishing 88 runs. This is their margin biggest victory ever in terms of runs. The previous record was 71 runs, which India achieved in 2018 at Lucknow.

Batting first, India had played a completely new opening combination of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. Shreyas Iyer, who was dropped from the previous game came back stronger to score 64 off 40 balls. Courtesy of his and Deepak Hooda’s knock of 38 off 25 balls, India scored a solid 188/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing 189, not for the first time, West Indies batters looked completely clueless against India’s bowlers. Led by the Player of the match, Axar Patel, who took 3 wickets, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav were also the pick of the bowlers with combined 7 wickets to their name. For WI, Shimron Hetmyer was their best batter with a score of 56 off 35 balls.
