Australia leading as we look at the updated points table standings for the World Test Championship 2021-23 ahead of the India vs Bangladesh Test series.

The World Test Championship 2021-23 has entered the final frontier with all teams having played at least 4 Test series. The Australian team is currently leading the points table with a PCT of 75%. Whereas South Africa, Sri Lanka, and India are following them with a PCT of 60%, 53.3%, and 52.1% respectively.

The recently concluded second Test match between Pakistan and England saw England overtaking Pakistan with back-to-back Test wins. With 2 wins in 2 games at Pakistan’s home den, England are now fifth in the points table with a PCT of  44.45%. Unfortunately, both England and Pakistan are already out of the WTC 2021-23 final race.

The action now heads to the Bangladesh vs India Test series where India would be eyeing a 2-0 series win to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the WTC final. Given the scenario, India can at max afford a loss from the upcoming six matches, and they would hope they don’t have to face any loss going forward.
