IPL 2024: Ranking Each Team Highest Individual Player Score

Marcus Stoinis, the standout as we look at the ranking of the highest individual score for each team in IPL 2024.

If there is one thing that remains the standout in this year’s IPL, it is the range and epicness of the batting display. Not only have we seen some extraordinary hitting by the batters, but we also saw players playing long innings which resulted in a lot of 100+ scores this season. For the 2024 IPL season alone, there have been a total of 15 hundreds being hit by the players.

Among all the players who hit the hundreds, Jos Buttler hit the most number of hundreds as he has two to his name. Other than him, there have been 13 more individual centuries But if we had to look at the highest individual score for each team in IPL 2024, who would make the cut? Well, let’s find out in this article.

Ranking the Highest Score for Each Team in IPL 2024

#10: Delhi Capitals – 88 by Rishabh Pant

Score: 88*(43) vs GT // SR: 204.7 // 4s: 5 // 6s: 8

Starting with Delhi Capitals, they are the only team with not a single individual hundred this season. Rishabh Pant is not only the leading run-scorer for the franchise this season, but also has the highest individual score of 88, which he scored against Gujarat Titans. While DC don’t have an individual hundred, the biggest positive is the big-bang return of Rishabh Pant. Coming to the knock, Pant hit a stunning 88 off just 43 balls with 8 maximums. All these when DC were strangling at 44/3 after 6 overs.

#9: Sunrisers Hyderabad – 102 by Travis Head

Score: 102(41) vs RCB // SR: 248.8 // 4s: 9 // 6s: 8

Travis Head not only hit the highest individual score for Sunrisers Hyderabad but also the fastest century of the season off just 39 balls. Up until this match, Head had been getting decent starts for his team, but was yet to make a big impact. But this knock made a big dent in RCB’s mindset, and they had to make an inspirational comeback after this to make it to the Playoffs. Head hit a blistering 102 off 41 balls with 9 fours and 8 sixes to his name. Courtesy of this knock, SRH were able to post 287 – the highest team score in IPL history.

#8: Gujarat Titans – 104 by Shubman Gill

Score: 104(55) vs CSK // SR: 189.1 // 4s: 9 // 6s: 6

Captain Shubman Gill on the charge for one last time this season as he along with Sai Sudharsan hit stunning centuries against Chennai Super Kings. With CSK missing two of their premier fast bowlers, Gill sensed an opportunity right from the start. The attacking instinct helped Gill as he managed to score a hundred off just 50 balls. Gill ended his knock on 104 as GT managed to score 231 in 20 overs.

#7: Mumbai Indians – 105 by Rohit Sharma

Score: 105*(63) vs CSK // SR: 166.7 // 4s: 11 // 6s: 5

It is not often you see Rohit Sharma topping the batting charts of Mumbai Indians. But the 2024 year has been special for Rohit Sharma as along with being the leading run-scorer for MI, he also holds the highest individual score for them. This particular knock came against CSK, albeit in a losing cause. Chasing 207, Rohit did everything that he could to see MI through, but there was no support at the other end. In the end, Rohit scored an unbeaten 105 off 63 balls as MI ended their innings on 186.

#6: Rajasthan Royals – 107 by Jos Buttler

Score: 107*(60) vs KKR // SR: 178.3 // 4s: 9 // 6s: 6

One of the best innings of IPL 2024 comes from Jos Buttler, who single-handedly helped Rajasthan Royals secure a win against KKR on a rather impossible night. Chasing 224, Buttler couldn’t accelerate the inning until the 14th as he kept losing wickets at the other end. With Buttler at 42 off 33 balls after 14 overs and RR’s score at 128, what Buttler did after that was simply magical. With RR needing 96 of the last 6 overs, Buttler hit 65 from just 27 balls to help RR secure a win on exactly the last ball.

#5: Punjab Kings – 108 by Jonny Bairstow

Score: 108*(48) vs KKR // SR: 225 // 4s: 8 // 6s: 9

At the end of the first half of IPL 2024, who would have thought seeing Bairstow’s form that he would end up having the highest individual score for Punjab Kings? But Bairstow ended his misery with just one knock. Chasing an almost impossible 262 vs a strong bowling lineup of KKR, Bairstow displayed exemplary hitting as he scored 108 off just 48 balls to help PBKS chase the target in just 18.4 overs. With Bairstow century in support from Shashank and Prabsimran, PBKS pulled off the highest successful chase in IPL history.

#4: Chennai Super Kings – 108 by Ruturaj Gaikwad

Score: 108*(60) vs LSG // SR: 180 // 4s: 12 // 6s: 3

Coming to the Chennai Super Kings, without a doubt, the highest individual score belongs to Mr. Consistent, Ruturaj Gaikwad. After another stellar IPL, Ruturaj also had a hundred to his name, albeit in a losing cause. Even as CSK scored 210 runs in their 20 overs, Ruturaj’s side ended in a losing cause. Ruturaj did everything possible with his superb knock of 108 off 60 balls at a strike rate of 180, but a Marcus Stoinis special ended all their hopes.

#3: Kolkata Knight Riders – 109 by Sunil Narine

Score: 109(56) vs RR // SR: 194.6 // 4s: 13 // 6s: 6

If there is one player who has redeemed himself to a whole new level in this IPL, it is Sunil Narine. What a season he has had for KKR, and this century against RR is a cherry on top. While just like Ruturaj and Rohit, this knock came in a losing cause, it takes nothing away from the man, who stunned everyone in 2024. Sunil Narine hit his only hundred in T20s by scoring 109 off 56 balls with a strike rate of 196.8. While KRK scored a solid 223, it was Jos Buttler’s special at the other end that didn’t help KKR win the match.

#2: Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 113 by Virat Kohli

Score: 113*(72) vs RR // SR: 156.9 // 4s: 12 // 6s: 4

The second-highest individual score of the season comes from the Orange Cap holder, King Virat Kohli. Kohli, unlike any other season, upped his game to perfection this season by scoring runs at a much quicker rate. However, this one knock is something that Kohli would want to forget. Virat did score a hundred, but that also happens to be the slowest his season. With Virat scoring 113 off 72 balls, RCB could only manage 183. RR’s chase was led by Buttler as his second hundred helped RR win the match in 19 overs.

#1: Lucknow Super Giants – 124 by Marcus Stoinis

Score: 124*(63) vs CSK // SR: 196.8 // 4s: 13 // 6s: 6

Finally, the leader of the pack, Marcus Stoinis stunned everyone with the highest score of IPL 2024. After CSK hit 210 in 20 overs, courtesy of Ruturaj’s century, Stoinis was merciless in his knock during the chase. Stoinis hit an unbeaten 124 off 63 balls to help LSG chase the target in 19.3 overs. What’s more special is that this knock came against CSK in their own den, which is one of the most difficult things to do.

So, that’s about the ranking of the highest individual score for each team in IPL 2024.
