The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, January 6th announced the official squad for the India A team for the Warm-up Test series vs England Lions. Abhimanyu Easwaran shall lead the 13-men squad that shall play one 2-day match and three 4-day unofficial Test matches. While the 2-day warm-up will be played on Jan 12-13, the 4-day Test match begins on Jan 17.
The Test team is almost on the lines of the one that played in South Africa. However, with conditions being suited more for spinners, Team India have made a few changes in the bowling department. While Akash Deep, Navdeep Saini, Tushar Deshpande, and Vidhwath Kaperappa shall be the leading pacers, the spin bowling shall rely on Manav Suthar and Pulkit Narang.
The batting for Team India will see Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran leading the charge with support from Sarfaraz Khan, Pradosh Paul, Rajat Patidar, and Sai Sudharsan.
