IPL 2024: SRH vs MI Best Playing 11 and Big Win Dream XI
Hardik Pandya and Pat Cummins in focus as we look at the best playing 11 and big win Dream XI for SRH vs MI Match 8 for IPL 2024.
We move on to match 8 of IPL 2024 as the Sunrisers Hyderabad take on the Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Both teams are coming from a loss in their first match. While Sunrisers Hyderabad lost a close counter against Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians maintained their tradition of losing the first encounter of IPL since 2012 as they lost another close encounter against Gujarat Titans.
However, both teams did pretty well in the batting department in their first match. SRH almost chased down 200+, and needed only 7 off 5 balls before Harshit Rana produced a blinder of a spell. Similarly, MI were on the track with the chase with 48 needing off 36 balls, and eight wickets in hand. But another fantastic comeback by the Gujarat bowlers as they ended up on the winning side from that position.
This is the first match at Hyderabad this season, and with a fresh pitch in front of us, expect a high-scoring contest, and some movement for the faster bowlers. So, will both teams stick to the same playing 11, or bring in some changes in their team combination? Well, let’s look at the best playing 11 and Dream XI team analysis for SRH vs MI match 8 of IPL 2024.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Best Predicted Playing 11 vs MI
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s impact substitutes for the match were a big shocker. The team didn’t give a chance to Washington Sundar, who could have strengthened the batting, and also given four crucial overs. Instead, the team opted for Abdul Samad and Shahbaz Ahmed in the playing 11. The team also didn’t play Travis Head as a batter, but instead played another bowler, which felt redundant.
But will they stick to the same playing 11? Well, ideally, SRH shouldn’t stick to the same playing 11 to make a stronger case. The team should play Travis Head to strengthen their batting, and also Washington Sundar to strengthen their bowling. The guys who should ideally sit out are Abdul Samad and Marco Jansen. However, given that this is only their second match, expect SRH to go with the same playing 11.

Mumbai Indians Best Playing 11 vs SRH
The kind of playing 11 Mumbai Indians played and the batting-order they had in their match was surprising. In the absence of Suryakumar Yadav, it was expected from MI to see Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma up in the batting order. But surprisingly, Tilak Varma batted at 5, and Hardik Pandya batted at 7. Similarly, MI didn’t play Nehal Wadhera, who did well for them in 2023. The crucial decisions didn’t go in MI’s favour as they suffered an important defeat.
Given MI team suffered a defeat in their opening encounter for probably the umpteenth time, will they make any changes in their playing 11? Well, given their focus on consistency, it looks unlikely MI will make any changes in their playing 11. However, they could make changes in their batting order by giving more batting time to match-winners, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya.
