IPL 2024: All 10 Teams Most Expensive Indian Players List

Every year in the Indian Premier League, players from across the world test their destiny as they enter one of the most exciting events in the cricketing fraternity, the IPL Auction. While a Mega Auction is generally conducted every three years, the Mini Auction is conducted every year barring the Mega Auction year. 

Generally, the IPL Mega Auction is where teams retain around 4 players, and hence it is a great platform for the Indian players to get a handsome amount in the Auction. But the same can’t be said for the Mini Auction where overseas players target the demand-supply gap by skipping the Mega Auction, and entering their name directly in the Mini Auction to earn handsome rewards.

While every team spends a lot on overseas players in the Mini Auction, how is the amount spent on Indian players overall? Well, let’s look at the most expensive Indian players in each team for IPL 2024. After all, this is an Indian Premier League, and we want to analyze each team on the basis of how much they spent on Indian players more than the lowest base price.

IPL 2024 Expensive Players List for All 10 Teams:

Kolkata Knight Riders – KKR Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Shreyas Iyer – 12.25 Cr
2. Nitish Rana – 8 Cr
3. Varun Chakravarthy – 8 Cr
4. Venkatesh Iyer – 8 Cr
5. Rinku Singh – 0.75 Cr
6. Vaibhav Arora – 0.6 Cr
7. KS Bharat – 0.75 Cr
8. Chetan Sakariya – 0.5 Cr
9. Manish Pandey – 0.5 Cr

Shreyas Iyer is the most expensive India player for KKR in IPL 2024 with a salary of INR 12.25 Cr. Overall, KKR have purchased 9 Indian players above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr with Manish Pandey and Chetan Sakariya being the purchased at a price of INR 0.5 Cr. Among the other star players, Rinku Singh is 5th on the list at 0.75 Cr. Whereas Nitish Rana is at 2nd position at 8 Cr. 

Chennai Super Kings – CSK Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Ravindra Jadeja – 16 Cr
2. Deepak Chahar – 14 Cr
3. MS Dhoni – 12 Cr
4. Sameer Rizwi – 8.4 Cr
5. Ruturaj Gaikwad – 6 Cr
6. Shivam Dube – 4 Cr
7. Shardul Thakur – 4 Cr
8. Rajvardhan Hangargekar – 1.5 Cr

Coming to the Chennai Super Kings, they have Ravindra Jadeja as their most expensive Indian player with a salary of 16 Cr. He is followed by Deepak Chahar at 14 Cr and MS Dhoni at 12 Cr. Overall, CSK have 11 Indian players who have been purchased above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr. Among the other star players, Ruturaj Gaikwad is at 5th position at 6 Cr. Whereas Shardul is at 7th position at 4 Cr. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad – SRH Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Washington Sundar – 8.75 Cr
2. Rahul Tripathi – 8.5 Cr
3. Mayank Agarwal – 8.25 Cr
4. Abhishek Sharma – 6.5 Cr
5. Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 4.2 Cr
6. Abdul Samad – 4 Cr
7. T. Natarajan – 4 Cr
8. Umran Malik – 4 Cr

Coming to Sunrisers Hyderabad, they have Washington Sundar as their most expensive Indian player at a salary of 8.75 Cr. SRH have a well-divided salary for Indian players, and their 10th most expensive player, Jaydev Unadkat is at a salary of 1.6 Cr. Among the star Indian players for SRH, Rahul Tripathi is 2nd at 8.5 Cr, Umran Malik is 8th at 4 Cr and Abhishek Sharma is 4th at 6.5 Cr. 

Mumbai Indians – MI Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Rohit Sharma – 16 Cr
2. Ishan Kishan – 15.25 Cr
3. Hardik Pandya – 15 Cr
4. Jasprit Bumrah – 12 Cr
5. Suryakumar Yadav – 8 Cr
6. Tilak Varma – 1.7 Cr
7. Piyush Chawla – 0.5 Cr
8. Arjun Tendulkar – 0.3 Cr

Talking about Mumbai Indians, who have invested heavily in the Indian players have 5 Indian players with a salary of more than 8 Cr; the highest among all teams. Rohit Sharma is the most expensive Indian player at 16 Cr. Whereas Captain Hardik Pandya is third at 15 Cr. While Jasprit Bumrah is 4th at 12 Cr, the World’s best T20 batter, Suryakumar Yadav is 5th at 8 Cr. However, MI have only 8 Indian players above the lowest salary of 0.2 Cr.  

Rajasthan Royals – RR Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Sanju Samson – 14 Cr
2. Avesh Khan – 10 Cr
3. Prasidh Krishna – 10 Cr
4. Yuzvendra Chahal – 6.5 Cr
5. Shubham Dubey – 5.8 Cr

For Rajasthan Royals, Sanju Samson is the most expensive Indian player at a salary of 14 Cr. Surprisingly, RR have two Indian bowlers who are getting a salary of more than 10 Cr; the highest among all teams. Overall, RR have 10 players getting a salary above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr. Among other star Indian players, Yuzvendra Chahal is 4th at 6.5 Cr. Whereas Yashasvi Jaiswal is 7th at 4 Cr. 

Delhi Capitals – DC Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Rishabh Pant – 16 Cr
2. Axar Patel – 9 Cr
3. Prithvi Shaw – 7.5 Cr
4. Kumar Khushagra – 7.2 Cr
5. Mukesh Kumar – 5.5 Cr
6. Khaleel Ahmed – 5.25 Cr
7. Kuldeep Yadav – 2 Cr

Coming to Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant is their most expensive Indian player at a salary of 16 Cr. Delhi have spent decently on Indian players with Axar Patel at 9 Cr, Prithvi Shaw at 7.5 Cr, and Kumar Khushagra at 7.2 Cr. Overall, Delhi have 12 players being purchased above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr with others left out being Pravin Dubey and Yash Dhull. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore – RCB Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Virat Kohli – 15 Cr
2. Mohammed Siraj – 7 Cr
3. Dinesh Karthik – 5.5 Cr
4. Yash Dayal – 5 Cr
5. Anuj Rawat – 3.4 Cr
6. Mayank Dagar – 1.8 Cr
7. Mahipal Lomror – 0.95 Cr
8. Rajan Kumar – 0.7 Cr
9. Karn Sharma – 0.5 Cr
10. Rajat Patidar – 0.5 Cr

Talking about RCB, King Kohli is undisputedly the most expensive Indian player at a salary of 15 Cr. However, for the second position, the salary drops by 50% to just 7 Cr with Mohammed Siraj being the name.  This is the highest reduction in salary between the first-ranked and second-ranked Indian players among all teams. However, even after that, RCB have 11 players with a salary above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr.   

Lucknow Super Giants – LSG Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. KL Rahul – 17 Cr
2. Krunal Pandya – 8.25 Cr
3. Devdutt Padikkal – 7.75 Cr
4. Shivam Mavi – 6.4 Cr
5. Deepak Hooda – 5.75 Cr
6. Ravi Bishnoi – 4 Cr
7. M. Siddharth – 2.4 Cr
8. Krishnappa Gowtham – 0.9 Cr
9. Amit Mishra – 0.5 Cr
10. Yash Thakur – 0.45 Cr

Similar to RCB, the Lucknow Super Giants have a huge salary difference between the first and second-ranked Indian players. While KL Rahul is the most expensive Indian player for LSG with a salary of 17 Cr, the second-placed Krunal Pandya is almost 50% less at 8.25 Cr. But once again, LSG have 10 Indian players at a salary above the lowest base price of 0.2 Cr.   

Punjab Kings – PBKS Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Harshal Patel – 11.75 Cr
2. Shikhar Dhawan – 8.25 Cr
3. Rahul Chahar – 5.25 Cr
4. Arshdeep Singh – 4 Cr
5. Harpreet Brar – 3.8 Cr
6. Prabsimran Singh – 0.6 Cr
7. Rishi Dhawan – 0.55 Cr
8. Jitesh Sharma – 0.5 Cr

Coming to Punjab Kings, we have a surprise as Harshal Patel is the most expensive Indian player with a salary of 11.75 Cr. Harshal Patel remains the only bowler to be the most expensive player for their respective team. Aside from Harshal, the other star players like Shikhar Dhawan have a salary of 8.25 Cr, Arshdeep Singh is 4th at 4 Cr. Whereas Jitesh Sharma is 8th at 0.5 Cr.  

Gujarat Titans – GT Most Expensive Indian Players for IPL 2024

1. Rahul Tewatia – 9 Cr
2. Shubman Gill – 8 Cr
3. Shahrukh Khan – 7.4 Cr
4. Mohammed Shami – 6.25 Cr
5. Umesh Yadav – 5.8 Cr
6. Robin Minz – 3.6 Cr

Finally, talking about Gujarat Titans, they have an uncapped player, Rahul Tewatia as their most expensive Indian player at a salary of 9 Cr. Gujarat Titans are the only team to have an uncapped player as their most expensive Indian player. In addition, Wriddhiman Saha in 10th position at a salary of 1.9 Cr is the highest among all teams for a 10th-ranked Indian player.
