Deepak Shodhan played only 3 Tests for India, but in those 3 Tests came this historic performance against Pakistan on his Test debut in 1952. Shodhan scored a brilliant 110 batting at number 8 position. The match ended in a Draw, but Shodhan’s show remains the best.

Score: 112 // 4s: 12 // 6s: 0 // SR: –

At number 10, we have a brilliant century by Abbas Ali Baig on his Test debut against England in 1959. Baig represented India in 10 Test matches scoring 428 runs. But undoubtedly his best performance came on his debut with a score of 112, and that too at Manchester. Even though India lost the match, the century remains special as it came during a chase.
