Harmanpreet Kaur to lead as we look at the complete final squad list for the India Women Cricket team for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2023.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, September 16th officially announced a few changes to the India Women’s Cricket Team’s squad for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2023. While the overall squad strength of 15 remains the same, Pooja Vastrakar has replaced the injured Anjali Sarvani in the squad.

The historic Asian Games squad shall be led by Harmanpreet Kaur with Smrith Mandhana as her deputy. The women’s team will see Amanjot Kaur, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Smriti Mandhana as pure batters. Whereas Keeping department shall be led by Uma Chetry and Richa Ghosh.

For All-rounders, India have four options in the form of Deepti Sharma, Devika Vaidya, Kanika Ahuja, and Minnu Mani. Whereas the bowling department shall be led by Anusha Bareddy, Pooja Vastrakar, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, and Titas Sadhu. So, here’s the official squad for Team India for the Asian Games 2023.

Meanwhile, Women’s Cricket in Asian Games 2023 will feature a total of 8 teams. India Women will directly play in the Quarter finals being one of the top four ranked teams. For India, the first match will be a Quarter-final on September 21. If India wins this, then the Semi-final is on September 24th, and if India win/lose that, then the Final/3rd place match is on September 25th.
