The team successfully got in Rachin Ravindra, Shardul Thakur, Mustafizur Rahman, and Daryl Mitchell as their top 4 players in the Auction.
With a great Auction under their name, CSK now have 25 players in their squad including 8 overseas players. Bifurcating the players, Chennai Super Kings have 4 batters, 3 wicket-keepers, 6 spin all-rounders, 2 pace all-rounders, 2 spinners, and 8 pacers. Batters – Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sameer Rizvi & Shaik Rasheed
CSK had retained Ajinkya Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shaik Rasheed before the Auction. Whereas the Auction saw CSK going hard after the hard-hitting batter Sameer Rizvi as CSK acquired his services for a whooping INR 8.4 Cr; making him the fifth most expensive player for CSK.
