Royal Challengers Bengaluru almost got their batting -order right in the last match against PBKS. The team played Cameron Green at the top with Rajat Patidar at 4, and Glenn Maxwell at 5. However, an ideal batting-order would be where Cameron Green opens the innings, and Virat Kohli plays at the number 3 position. If this happens, it will be for the greater good for RCB, the team. 

However, expect RCB to stick to the same playing 11 and batting-order combination. The only change they could do is play Vyshakvijay Kumar as the impact player ahead of Karn Sharma given Bengaluru’s pace-friendly conditions. Kolkata Knight Riders Best Playing 11 vs RCB

Coming to KKR’s playing 11, the batting-order looked a throwback to 2018 when Gautam Gambhir was the captain of the side. Gautam Gambhir had played Sunil Narine as the opener at that time, and he is doing the same in 2024 as well. Narine was quite successful at that time as an opener, but is the move still valid now in 2024? Well, the strategy is debatable, and unless we see a few matches, we really can’t say anything. 

Given that KKR started their campaign with a win, expect them to stick to the same playing 11 combination. So, Narine and Phil Salt should open the batting with Venkatesh Iyer at 3, Nitish Rana at 4, and Shreyas Iyer at 5. In terms of bowling, Harshit Rana did a great job for them, but Mitchell Starc was expensive, so KRK would be hoping for better returns from Starc.
